Overview

CF8C is an austenitic stainless steel casting alloy specified under ASTM A743/A743M, designed for use in corrosion-resistant applications requiring enhanced high-temperature strength. It is similar to CF8 but includes a controlled addition of niobium (columbium), which improves creep resistance and thermal stability. This alloy is well-suited for components such as pump casings, valve bodies, and pressure-retaining parts exposed to elevated temperatures and corrosive media.
