Overview
Grade HF is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel casting alloy specified by ASTM A297/A297M, primarily designed for service at elevated temperatures in oxidizing or carburizing environments. It contains high levels of chromium and nickel, providing excellent resistance to scaling, oxidation, and thermal fatigue in high-temperature applications. HF is commonly used in furnace components, heat-treat fixtures, radiant tubes, and other structural parts exposed to continuous or cyclic thermal loads. Its stable austenitic structure ensures good creep strength and dimensional stability, making it a reliable material for long-term service in industrial heating and metallurgical processing environments.
