Overview
CN7M is a highly corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel casting alloy covered by ASTM A351/A351M, used in pressure-containing components exposed to aggressive chemical environments. Its composition includes elevated levels of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper, which together provide outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and other strong reducing and oxidizing agents. This alloy is particularly well-suited for applications in the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and pollution control industries, where it is used in components such as pumps, valves, and piping systems handling corrosive fluids. CN7M is known for its resistance to stress corrosion cracking and its ability to perform reliably in both acidic and mixed acid environments.
