Overview
CE20N is an austenitic stainless steel casting alloy covered by ASTM A351/A351M, developed for use in pressure-containing parts that require superior resistance to corrosion, high strength, and elevated temperature performance. It contains high levels of chromium and nickel, along with additions of molybdenum and nitrogen, to provide exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. CE20N is often used in severe service environments such as offshore oil and gas platforms, desalination systems, and chemical processing equipment where both corrosion resistance and mechanical integrity are critical. Its balanced composition makes it suitable for applications involving aggressive chlorides and other halide-containing solutions.
